Renaissance man

Leonardo Da Vinci can be characterized as a renaissance man, because he made new discoveries for art, math and architecture. He developed a new type of painting, by putting many layers of paint on the picture to make it look 3D. Also, he drew the vitruvian man, and it allowed him to make the people in his picture look realistic. In math, he made calculations for making buildings, and for weapons. For architecture, Da Vinci invented new machines, like the flapping wings and tanks.
